Worried about how the recent changes in legislation will impact your board?  NJSBA’s Delegate Assembly is one way of working collectively with other board members to withstand the recent bureaucratic hurricane.   By joining together to drive NJSBA policy, we can impact lobbying efforts on legislative issues at both the county and state levels.

Cynthia Jahn and Bergen CBSA’s Executive Committee members will provide an overview of the Delegate Assembly, including its current and desired state, as well as its successes, shortcomings, and benefits.  Also on the agenda:

  • A discussion of issues important to New Jersey, particularly Bergen County, and how they can be addressed through the Delegate Assembly.   
  • An overview of the Delegate Assembly format and how to effectively participate.   
  • Q&A  session.
The goal is to increase the Delegate Assembly participation to 100%, but this meeting is not just for delegates. Policy-making at the state level should involve the participation and input of all board members, so this meeting is for everyone. Join us for an orientation and strategy session to learn how you can make a difference!
