NJQSAC

 

If you can complete the name of this acronym, you are ahead of the curve.  But can you explain what it is and how it will affect your board?  In September, the state will begin phasing in the new school district monitoring and evaluation system, the New Jersey Single Quality Accountability Continuum, or NJQSAC.  A single set of standards applying to all districts has been developed which promotes equity, efficiency, and effectiveness, as well as addresses the mandates and intent of the local requirements and State and Federal legislation.  NJQSAC focuses on five key components of school district effectiveness – instruction and program, personnel, fiscal management, operations, and governance. 

 

Please join us for a clear explanation of the board’s role in fulfilling its responsibility in complying with the District Performance Review process.

From the South

Take Garden State Parkway North to Route 78 East Exit #142.  (Exit is immediately after tollbooth.  Stay in rightmost lane for toll.)  Go to the first exit on Route 78 East and follow signs for Route 78 West.  This will lead to Route 78 West/24 West.  Follow signs for Route 287 North to Exit 44 – Boonton Main Street.  **At the end of the exit, make a hard LEFT onto Lathrop Avenue.  Continue past Boonton High School approx. 2/10 mile.  School will be on RIGHT.

 

From the North

Take Route 287 South to Boonton Myrtle Avenue Exit.  Turn LEFT onto Myrtle Avenue and proceed to the second light.  Turn LEFT at this light onto Wootton Street.  Proceed to the end (NJ Firemen’s Home will be directly ahead.)  Make first RIGHT onto Lathrop Avenue and continue less than ¼ mile.  School will be on LEFT around a small bend.

 

From the East or West

Take Route 80 East or West to Route 287 North to Exit 44 – Boonton Main Street.  Follow from ** in the From the South directions above.
