The Union County School Boards Association is hosting a Legislative Forum to familiarize you with Congressional District 7 candidates and their platforms. Senator Leonard Lance and Assemblywoman Linda Stender have been invited to lead an open dialogue roundtable discussion regarding educational issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to share their viewpoints on issues and proposals for addressing the changes affecting education, particularly in the areas of special education funding, property taxes and NCLB.
The New Jersey School Boards Association Governmental Relations Department will provide updates on Association grassroots initiatives and will offer suggestions on how YOU, as board members, can make the greatest impact on pending legislation.
Members of the Hunterdon and Somerset County School Boards Associations are also invited to attend.
