Workshop 2012 Update

Workshop 2012 will return to the Atlantic City Convention Center from Oct. 23-25. All training and events will take place in the convention center. The Exhibit Floor will be open on Tuesday, Oct. 23 and Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Workshop 2012 will offer three days of more than 150 learning opportunities on effective school governance. Topics include Common Core Standards; teacher evaluations; sustainability and “green” initiatives; STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math); and a variety of sessions on best practices in cost-savings, student achievement and more. Session information will be posted later next month on the Workshop website.

Workshop Registration - Note Regarding Census

In July, business administrators will be able to sign up their local school officials for Workshop 2012.

Completing the 2012 census form will ensure that board members are included in the database for accurate registration. To obtain the census, business administrators should go to “Board Management” on the NJSBA website and login. Only the business administrator registered in the NJSBA database has access to the census form.

After logging in, click on the census report, open and print the form. If changes are necessary, mark the changes, additions and deletions on the form. Use beginning and ending dates for each individual as appropriate. The form should be faxed back to the NJSBA Call Center at (609) 278-5280 or emailed to callcenter@njsba.org. NJSBA requires 24-hour turnaround time to complete census changes

If there are no changes to the census report, business administrators should email the Call Center with their full name, contact information and the name of their board, and indicate there are “no changes” in the text of the email.
