Local school officials from seven counties gathered June 28 in the Liberty Science Center for “Leaders at Liberty,” a program hosted by the Hudson County School Boards Association.
Throughout the evening, board members and charter school trustees discussed the importance of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), as well as charter school programming, legislative issues, and effective board governance.
Standing is Anthony Bisulca, associate director of teacher programs at the Liberty Science Center.
Later, attendees broke into small groups to discuss issues such as tenure reform, school leadership, and policy development.
