NJSBA Schedules Summer Meetings with Legislators

NJSBA's summer meetings with legislators are in full swing. Board members are urged to attend meetings with legislators who represent their districts.

The schedule of upcoming meetings includes:

August 3 Meeting with Sen. Jeff Van Drew of the 1st Legislative District at 5:45 p.m. in his office located at 21 N. Main St., Cape May Court House. Sen. Van Drew is from the 1st Legislative District, which covers all of Cape May County; parts of Atlantic County (Corbin City, Estell Manor, Weymouth); and parts of Cumberland County (Commercial, Downe, Fairfield, Greenwich, Hopewell, Lawrence, Maurice River, Millville, Shiloh, Stow Creek and Vineland). August 14 Meeting with Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez of the 32nd Legislative District at 5 pm in her district office at 5600 Kennedy Blvd., Suite 104, West New York, NJ 07093.  Jimenez is a member of the Assembly Education Committee.

The 32nd Legislative District includes parts of Bergen County (Edgewater, Fairview), as well as parts of Hudson County (East Newark, Guttenberg, Harrison, Kearny, North Bergen, Secaucus and West New York).  Interested board members should contact Barbara Horl of NJSBA Governmental Relations Department via her email or at (609) 278-5225.

August 20 Meeting with Assemblywoman Celeste M. Riley of the 3rd Legislative District at 2:30 p.m. in Room 303 of the State House Annex on West State Street, Trenton. 

The 3rd Legislative District includes parts of Cumberland County (Bridgeton, Deerfield, Upper Deerfield); Gloucester County (Clayton, East Greenwich, Elk, Franklin, Glassboro, Greenwich, Logan, National Park, Newfield, Paulsboro, South Harrison, Swedesboro, West Deptford, Woodbury Heights, Woolwich); and all of Salem County.

August 23 Meeting with Sen. Joseph Pennacchio (26th District) in his district office at 2:30 p.m. The office is located at 330 Changebridge Road, Suite 102, Pine Brook, NJ 07058.

The 26th Legislative District includes parts of Essex County (Fairfield, North Caldwell, Verona, West Caldwell); Morris County (Butler, Jefferson, Kinnelon, Lincoln Park, Montville, Morris Plains, Parsippany-Troy Hills, Rockaway Township; and West Milford in Passaic County.

September 21 Meeting at 3:30 p.m. with Sen. Loretta Weinberg and Assemblyman Gordon M. Johnson (37th Legislative District) at their office at 545 Cedar Lane, Teaneck, NJ 07666.

The 37th Legislative District represents parts of Bergen County (Alpine, Bogota, Cresskill, Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Fort Lee, Hackensack, Leonia, Northvale, Palisades Park, Rockleigh, Teaneck and Tenafly).
