Meetings with Legislators Continue into September

NJSBA's series of summertime meetings with legislators, which has been taking place throughout August, continues with four more meetings in September.

NJSBA annually arranges the meetings during the summer months, as lawmakers often have more time to meet with constituents. Board members are urged to attend meetings with legislators who represent their districts.

The list below includes the September meetings with legislators:

11th District (Monmouth) on Sept. 4 Meeting with Sen. Jennifer Beck of the 11th Legislative District. The meeting will be at 2 p.m. in the legislative offices at 32 Monmouth St., Red Bank. Beck is a member of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee. The 11th District includes the Monmouth County communities of Allenhurst, Asbury Park, Colts Neck, Deal, Eatontown, Freehold Borough, Freehold Township, Interlaken, Loch Arbour, Long Branch, Neptune, Neptune Township, Ocean Township, Red Bank, Shrewsbury Borough, Shrewsbury Township, Tinton Falls and West Long Branch. 32nd District (Hudson, Bergen) on Sept. 11 Meeting with Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez of the 32nd Legislative District in her West New York office at 5 p.m. Jimenez is a member of the Assembly Education Committee. The 32nd Legislative District includes the Hudson County communities of East Newark, Guttenberg, Harrison, Kearny, North Bergen, Secaucus, and West New York; and the Bergen County communities of Edgewater and Fairview. 38th District (Bergen, Passaic) on Sept. 18 Meeting with Assemblyman Tim Eustace and Assemblywoman Connie Wagner of the 38th District at their office at 205 Robin Road, Suite 330, Paramus. Wagner is a member of the Assembly Education Committee. The 38th Legislative District includes parts of Bergen County (Bergenfield, Fair Lawn, Glen Rock, Hasbrouck Heights, Lodi, Maywood, New Milford, Oradell, Paramus, River Edge, Rochelle Park and Saddle Brook); and Hawthorne in Passaic County. 37th District (Bergen) on Sept. 21 Meeting with Sen. Loretta Weinberg and Assemblyman Gordon M. Johnson of the 37th Legislative District in their Teaneck offices. Weinberg is a member of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee and Johnson is a member of the Assembly Budget Committee. The 37th Legislative District includes the Bergen County communities of Alpine, Bogota, Cresskill, Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Fort Lee, Hackensack, Leonia, Northvale, Palisades Park, Rockleigh, Teaneck and Tenafly.
