Lee, executive director of the New Jersey School Boards Association, recently gave her " State of the Association" video address to describe NJSBA's progress toward achieving long-range goals. For more than 25 years, NJSBA has utilized a system of long-range plans to set specific benchmarks of success. The Association's most recent plan, which runs from 2005 to 2008, focuses on the four key areas of accountability, advocacy, funding and facilities. With her retirement announced for October, Lee is using the State of the Association address to provide school board members with an update on NJSBA's success in achieving the goals of its long-range plan. ****** The New Jersey School Boards Association, a federation of district boards of education, advocates the interests of school districts, trains local school board members, and provides resources for the advancement of public education.
