While NJSBA primarily serves local boards of education, the Association also makes numerous resources available to district administrators.
Personnel Administrators are invited to become associate members of the Association through the New Jersey Personnel Administrators Association (PAA). Associate membership provides personnel administrators with a host of resources such as: topical meetings on critical personnel issues; subscriptions to The Negotiations Advisor, Index of New Jersey School Law Decisions, School Leader and School Board Notes; member rates on other Association publications; and more.
NJSBA can also help further administrator's careers. Vacancies for many district positions, including superintendents, administrators and principals are posted to our Web site.
For further career training, administrators are encouraged to attend the annual NJSBA/NJASA/NJASBO Workshop in Atlantic City. This joint venture between the three major school district management associations is the education training event of the year and provides administrators with instruction in a variety of topics.
Several publications are also available which may be of interest to administrators, including Costing Out the Labor Agreement and Negotiating the Administered Agreement.
