Applications are sought for a national network program called 100 District Leaders for Citizenship and Service-Learning. The program will honor 100 school board members and district superintendents who have shown commitment to high-quality citizenship education.  It will engage them in further service to promote civic engagement to benefit all students.

The program was created by the Education Commission of the States’ National Center for Learning and Citizenship, in cooperation with the National School Boards Association and the American Association of School Administrators.  Application deadline is January 30.  For an application form, including criteria for selection, visit the National Center for Leaning and Citizenship at www.ecs.org/nclc.
