Annual Delegate Assembly

The NJSBA Annual Delegate Assembly met at the Crowne Plaza, Monroe Township, New Jersey, on May 20, 2006, to elect officers to serve the Association for the 2006-2008 term and to consider a resolution submitted by a board of education.  The election was reported in the May 25 issue of School Board Notes.


RESOLUTION


  1. City of Burlington (Burlington County) Proposed new policy language that states travel and other reimbursable expenditures for Abbott school districts should be consistent with those for non-Abbott school districts.  APPROVED with the following substitute policy language which would create new policy.

    The NJSBA believes that regulations governing travel and related reimbursable expenditures -provide accountability to the public; and such regulations should be identical for all districts.

The delegates also approved the sunset review of all policies classified as part of Section 1000 (Community Relations) and Section 2000 (Administration) of NJSBA’s Manual of Policies  and Positions on Education.
