June 16 Is Deadline for PR Proposals

Has your district implemented an innovative school-community relations program?  The Workshop 2006 School Public Relations Mini-Workshops are your chance to share your district’s best practices with school leaders from throughout New Jersey. The deadline for receiving completed proposal forms has been extended to June 16.

The School PR Mini-Workshops consist of 30-minute, roundtable sessions that are presented twice within the one-hour timeslot.  Last year’s presentations addressed engaging the community, involving parents and older citizens in the schools, working with the news media, communicating during a crisis, and gaining support for bond and budget proposals.

 This year’s Mini-Workshop program is slated for a new time—Wednesday, October 25, from 2:45 p.m.-3:45 p.m.—offering an opportunity for greater visibility than ever before.

 A program proposal form was e-mailed to board presidents, superintendents and school business administrators on Monday.
