Stick Around for New Friday Schedule

Workshop 2006 will offer expanded program offerings on Friday, Oct. 27, with an exciting lineup of informational and training exercises.

In addition to the traditional Group Sessions—four in all—that cover a range of critical topics, Friday morning will include a repeat of Workshop 2006’s most popular Action Labs—intensive, hands-on programs with limited enrollment. Topics will include school finance, contract negotiations, and superintendent searches and transitions.

Experts also will be available in the new Clinic Sessions. During these informal discussions, participants can move from room to room to get answers to specific questions about school law, labor relations, finance, advocacy, policy and public relations.

The closing general session at 11:15 a.m. will include an Awards Ceremony honoring those receiving NJSBA’s Master Board Member certification, Board Certification, and the winners of the 2006 School Communications Competition.

Sound education governance is the goal of the new and innovative Readiness Curriculum, to be unveiled at the closing general session. The Readiness Curriculum is an initiative of NJSBA, New Jersey Association of School Administrators and the state Department of Education.  The closing session will conclude with a drawing for valuable prizes.

Workshop 2006 will be held from October 25 to 27. For more Information, visit NJSBA's Workshop 2006 site.
