Dear School Board Member,
Ten years from now, New Jersey government will look different than it does today. What shape it takes will result from decisions made in Trenton over the next few months.
With that thought in mind, I invite you to join NJSBA’s state and county leaders on Saturday, Oct. 7 as we present a public forum on some of the hottest issues facing our state:
- Consolidation of school district functions at the county level.
- Regionalization.
- Shared services among school districts and municipalities.
To help local school district and government officials gain a better understanding of these conceptsand their pros and consNJSBA and its County Association Leadership will convene a panel of experts in government and education for an open public discussion of “Consolidation and Shared Services.”
Michael Aron of New Jersey Network will moderate the event, which will take place from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (registration at 8:45 a.m.) at Monroe Township High School in Middlesex County.
I have no doubt that school board members who attend the forum will be armed with the knowledge they need to discuss these issues in their communities.
There is no charge to attend, but space is limited. Therefore, I urge you to register as soon as possible by visiting our Web site and signing up online.
I hope to see you on Oct. 7!
Sincerely,
Kevin E. Ciak
President
