Notice: NJSBA Board of Directors
to Meet

In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, notice is hereby provided of a meeting of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey School Boards Association. The meeting will be held at the Courtyard Marriott of South Brunswick, 420 Forsgate Drive, Exit 8A, New Jersey Turnpike, in Cranbury, New Jersey, on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting is open to the public.

The agenda, to the extent known at this time, will include discussion and/or action on: minutes of the September 15, 2006 meeting; approval of the Executive Director’s contract; recognition of former Officers; approval of 2007-08 NJSBA holidays; Governance and Operations Policy File Codes 4131.3 and 1004, Tuition Reimbursement and Membership on Joint Committees and Education-Related Organizations, respectively; 2005-06 Association Audit report; officer reports, and a Construction Review Committee report.

In addition, there will be a presentation on NJSBA Policy Services.

The Board of Directors will enter into closed session to discuss the Executive Director’s contract.

The annual Board of Directors retreat will be held on Saturday, October 14 at the Courtyard Marriott, at 8:00 a.m. Board of Directors members will discuss high school reform and other current issues and their roles and responsibilities as a critical part of NJSBA’s governance.
