NJSBA Launches Special Ed Study

NJSBA is engaged in a comprehensive study of special education costs and practices. The study will provide information on cost drivers, will identify total special education costs to local school districts, will recognize exemplary special education programs, and will recommend changes in regulation and statute.

The first step of the project is a statewide survey issued last week to all school district superintendents. Copies of the survey cover letter were sent to school board presidents.

For more information or to obtain a copy of the survey, contact Frank Belluscio, NJSBA's director of communications.
