From Albert Einstein to Vince Lombardi to Woodrow Wilson, the New Jersey Hall of Fame recently announced 25 nominees in five categories—leaving it up the public to pick five people who have had the biggest impact on state history and have left a lasting legacy.

The top vote getter in each of the categories—including historical, enterprise, arts and entertainment, and sports—will be included.

The public can vote online at the New Jersey Hall of Fame Web Site, or by paper ballot (available at supermarkets, diners and convenience stores throughout the state) between now and Feb. 28. For approximately two months each year, the public will be asked to pick winners who will be honored in a 50,000 square-foot museum planned for the Meadowlands.

New Jersey’s most prominent individuals and organizations, including the New Jersey School Boards Association, are represented on the Hall’s executive steering committee.
