The theme for this year’s National School Boards Association-sponsored Federal Relations Network Conference in Washington, D.C. is Pledge to America’s Schoolchildren, Jan. 28-30.

In addition to organized meetings with members of New Jersey’s Congressional delegation, the 3-day conference will include comprehensive training on prominent federal education issues and the ability to discuss issues and share concerns with colleagues throughout the nation.

Two Options Recognizing that current state travel regulations and other budgetary restraints might make the conference cost-prohibitive, NJSBA is offering board members two ways to participate: Attend the full conference, or participate in the Jan. 30 “Day on the Hill.”

NJSBA has posted frequently asked questions about travel regulations at www.njsba.org/govrel/frn.

For more information on how to join New Jersey’s active and growing FRN delegation or to register for the conference, contact Sarah Kohl at (888) 886-5722, ext. 5215.
