Attend Leadership ‘Boot Camp’

Whether you hope to become president or vice president of your board or plan to continue in that role, NJSBA’s Leadership Conference, March 9 and 10 in Princeton, will give you the tools you need to focus your board on the critical issues.

This year’s Leadership Conference program was moved from June to March to help school board members who want to assume the reins of leadership at their board’s next reorganization meeting.

As a result of attending the Leadership Conference, you will:

• Know when leaders are at their best.
  
  
• Implement more effective meeting management.
  
  
• Prepare more streamlined agendas.
  
  
• Discuss the implications of the Open Public Meetings Act on your role.
  
  
• Explain how the board meeting’s physical environment may affect public perception.
  
  
• Improve your board’s internal communications and its relationship with the superintendent.
  
  
• Use data to work on problems, not personalities.

Registration The Leadership Conference will take place at the Princeton Marriott Hotel and Conference Center at Forrestal. Conference registration includes materials and meals. Room reservations must be made separately.
