NJSBA Seeking: Senior Consultant, Labor Relations

The successful candidate will provide assistance in bargaining preparation, mediation, fact-finding, strikes and job actions; analyzing labor contracts and legislative proposals and constructing salary guides. Effective consultative skills, problem identification, analysis and resolution skills required. Excellent writing and public speaking skills essential.  BA or equivalent work experience. Minimum three years experience in labor relations preferably in public education. Knowledge of public education and school board governance a plus. Evening and weekend work as required.

Minimum salary $57,376. We offer excellent benefits including N.J. State Health Benefit Plan, prescription, dental, Public Employees’ Retirement System, etc.

Manalapan Office Relocates to Trenton Headquarters

NJSBA’s central office in Manalapan will be relocated to the Association headquarters building in Trenton effective Feb. 20. This move is the first phase of the facility consolidation resolution passed by the Board of Directors in November 2006. For the members’ convenience, the current Manalapan office telephone numbers will remain available through June.
