What exciting programs or initiatives have you created in your district? How can they be implemented in other districts throughout New Jersey?
Share your knowledge and showcase your skills at the 2007 Annual Workshop in Atlantic City, Oct. 24 through Oct. 26.
This year’s Workshop theme is “DREAM, INSPIRE, ACHIEVE.” The program is aimed to encourage school board members, superintendents and business officials to enhance their knowledge and their skills by tapping into the expertise of the education community.
Friday, March 2 is the deadline for submitting Action Lab and Group Session proposal forms. Proposals for Curriculum Fair and Q & A Roundtables will be available in March.
Presentation Formats Action Labs emphasize the application of specific skills by actively involving participants. The majority of the 90-minute sessions must be devoted to hands-on tasks that the presenter/s direct.
Group Sessions present information, educational philosophies, best practices, contrasting viewpoints, etc. At least one-third of the 90-minute sessions are devoted to questions and answers. Presenters may choose their program format—single speaker, panel, debate, or other structure.
Submit Your Proposal Today Tell us what you would like to present at Workshop! Submit an Action Lab or a Group Session proposal by March 2 by completing the Workshop 2007 Program Proposal form. The form is available at www.njsba.org under the “What’s New” heading.
To receive an MS-Word version of the application, contact Mark Bonjavanni at (888) 886-5722, ext. 5207.
