In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, notice is hereby provided of a meeting of the New Jersey School Boards Association’s Executive Committee. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at NJSBA Headquarters, 413 West State Street, Trenton.
The meeting is open to the public.
The agenda, to the extent known at this time, will include action/discussion of minutes of the Jan. 3, 2007 meeting; vouchers past 60 days; ratification of officers’ vouchers; 2007-2008 Legislative Agenda and Action Plan; proposed agenda for the March 16, 2007 Board of Directors meeting; Long Range Plan Committee updates; officers’ committee reports and concerns; survey results on paperless Board of Directors meetings; Governance and Operations Policy File Code 4148, Emergency and Disaster Preparedness; update on 2007 NSBA Annual Conference; debriefings of 2007 NSBA Leadership and Federal Relations Network Conferences; update on resolutions received for May 19, 2007 Delegate Assembly; and personnel matters.

Top state and national leaders have been invited to the National Summit on Public Education in 21st Century America held in Washington, D.C. this weekend.
NJSBA President Kevin E. Ciak and Executive Director Edwina M. Lee will attend the March 9-11 event, where other policymakers, leading visionaries and thinkers in education will gather to identify shared goals, to collaborate on strategies and to help shape a common vision for public schools.
