The rescheduled meeting of NJSBA’s Board of Directors took place Saturday, March 31, 2007 in Mercerville, New Jersey. Action taken at the meeting included the following:
- Conducted a Moment of Silence in memory of NJSBA Field Service Representative Carole Larsen.
- Approved Minutes of the Jan. 12, 2007 Board of Directors meeting.
- Approved first reading of Governance and Operations Policy File Code 4148, Emergency and Disaster Preparedness.
- Approved first reading of the sunset review of Governance and Operations Policies
6000 Series (Programs and Services) and Related Policies.
- Approved the revised 2007-2008 NJSBA Legislative Agenda and Action Plan.
- Unanimously approved the 2007-2008 NJSBA budget.
- Heard a report from the Construction Review Committee.
- Heard reports from NJSBA’s president and vice presidents for county activities, finance, and legislation/resolutions.
- Heard a report from NJSBA’s executive director.
- Heard an update on NJSBA’s Long Range Plan.
- Discussed conducting paperless Board of Directors meetings.
- Determined that the education issue for the May 18, 2007 Board of Directors meeting would be High School Reform Initiative.
- Heard the announcement of Executive Director Edwina M. Lee’s plans for October 2007 retirement.
