The successful candidate must possess excellent leadership and management skills, proven budget and finance experience, an understanding of technology and systems operations, the ability to enhance revenue, the ability to collaborate effectively with the entire association, strong employee relations skills, and the ability to articulate both orally and in writing a bold vision for the association and the key issues facing public education.

The New Jersey School Boards Association has an established strong reputation for excellence in school board leadership and expects the next executive director to continue to build positive and long-lasting relations with elected officials, public service organizations, and the general public to strengthen public education and prepare the children of our state to be contributing citizens in a global society.
