Deadline Nears for School
Communications Competition

A sound school-community relations program will strengthen ties with parents, advance student achievement, and forge community support for the schools.

NJSBA’s Annual Communications Competition honors school districts that have demonstrated their commitment to public education through exemplary publications and public relations.

The 2007 program will recognize outstanding school district communications in various categories, including publications, periodicals, Web sites, audio-visual media, public relations projects and school district exhibits at the annual Workshop in October.

Entries will be judged on appearance, writing and concept, editing, layout/design, art/photography, and informational and educational value. All entries must have been published or produced for use between Sept. 1, 2006 and July 31, 2007.

A $25 fee is required for each submission (except for Workshop exhibits). All entries must be postmarked by Friday, Aug. 3, 2007. Winners will be recognized during a ceremony at the annual Workshop 2007 in Atlantic City.

For information, contact Lisa Deon in NJSBA's Communications Department by e-mail or by calling (888) 886-5722
