Workshop Features Advanced Training

NJSBA is helping board members meet the new state requirements for advanced training by providing a program at Workshop 2007.

The new School District Accountability Act requires board members to take advanced training on governance or relevant changes to New Jersey school law if:

  • They are in the second or third year of their first term in office, or

  • They were just re-elected or re-appointed to a subsequent term.

NJSBA’s program at Workshop will satisfy the requirements for both groups of board members. The training will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26. Board members who are registered for Workshop may attend this course as part of their Workshop registration fee. Board members will also earn .5 Board Member Academy credits.

Registration is required by Oct. 17. No on-site registration will be accepted. Interested board members should have their business administrator contact Heidi Bullock in NJSBA’s Business Department by e-mail or by calling (888) 886-5722, ext. 5217.
