Shared Services Guide Coming Soon

In the next few weeks, NJSBA will send a Guide to Shared Services and Best Practices CD to every district’s business administrator.

NJSBA commissioned the Rutgers-Newark Institute for Education Law and Policy to undertake a study into shared services. That study was unveiled last week.

The concept of shared services is expected to be a critical component of school district and local government finance due to recent laws that emanated from the state Legislature’s special session on property tax reform and the establishment of a new school funding formula. NJSBA hopes the guide will become a resource for local school districts in New Jersey.
