NJSBA Announces Webinars, Web-Based Programs for Mandatory Training

NJSBA will provide webinars and Web-based training opportunities for members who are required to take the mandatory training under the School District Accountability Act—those who are in the second and third years of their first terms in office, or any board member in his or her first year of a subsequent term.

Webinars are live conferences that offer greater interaction among the participants who log on to the program. Web-based training features a “recorded” program that can be viewed any time.

To provide school boards with sufficient time to pass a resolution to allow members to attend these courses, NJSBA has scheduled the webinars for Wednesday, Jan. 16; Thursday, Feb. 7; and Monday, March 10. An online Web-based version will be available to take from Jan. 22 on.

The cost for each program is $32 per person. To register for a specific webinar or to use the Web-based version, school board members should have their business administrator contact NJSBA’s call center at (888) 886-5722, ext. 5217.
