	Family Leave Bill Released By Senate Committee The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee on Monday released the family leave bill (S-786). New Rates, New Programs for State Health Benefits Plan The New Jersey State Health Benefits Program has posted new rates, effective April 1, 2008, for local education employees and local government employees.

	Turner, Cryan to Chair Key Education Committees State Sen. Shirley K. Turner (D-15) of Mercer County and Assemblyman Joseph Cryan (D-20) of Union County will chair the Senate and Assembly Education Committees during the state Legislature’s 213th Session.

	Superintendent/Board Members Have View from Both Sides When school board members Pio Pennisi of South Plainfield and Dr. Eugene Westlake of Oradell see their superintendent handle a difficult situation at a board meeting, they probably have a little more empathy than the average board member for the administrator’s challenges. 	Delegate Assembly Resolutions Cutoff All resolutions submitted for the May 17 Annual Delegate Assembly must be received at NJSBA’s Trenton office by 5 p.m., Monday, March 3.
