Share your expertise, experience and insights with school board members and administrators at Workshop 2008 by presenting an Action Lab or Group Session program. Workshop—to be held in Atlantic City from Oct. 29 to Oct. 31—is the major conference for New Jersey school board members and administrators, offering approximately 180 training programs.
Monday, March 10 is the deadline for submitting proposal forms for an Action Lab or Group Session. Action labs are 90 minute programs where admission is limited to 24 to 48 participants; the programs feature hands-on tasks and active involvement.
Group Sessions are larger programs that present information on topics ranging from education philosophy to best practices. The sessions are also 90 minutes, with at least a third of the time devoted to a question and answer session. The format can include a single speaker, a panel, a debate or another program structure. Group Sessions can accommodate up to 300 people.
These sessions offer districts an opportunity to highlight exemplary programs or new initiatives, and to share expertise with colleagues from around the state. NJSBA has posted the Workshop Program Proposal Forms online. For more information or to have a form e-mailed to you, contact NJSBA senior consultant Mark A. Bonjavanni at (888) 886-5722, ext. 5207. |
