NJSBA: State Budget Will Ease Property Tax Burden, Improve Education
The governor’s recommended $532 million increase in school funding for 2008-2009 moves New Jersey closer to the goal of school property tax stabilization, NJSBA Executive Director Marie S. Bilik told the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee last week.
State Seeks to End Abbott Designation
With a new school-funding law in place, the Corzine administration is asking the state Supreme Court to deem the formula as constitutional and end the “Abbott” designation.
