Legislative Days Program to
Provide Access to State Lawmakers

NJSBA is offering members three opportunities for local board members and school administrators to network with state lawmakers, observe the legislative process and to advocate for their public schools.

NJSBA Legislative Days will be held at the State House in Trenton on Tuesday, May 13; Wednesday, May 14; and Thursday, June 12. Local school officials will assemble in Café NJ, which is the State House’s cafeteria and concession area located off the parking garage atrium on Level 3 of the State House. From there, board members and administrators will visit lawmakers and attend legislative committee meetings.

Participants are requested to arrive between 8:30 and 9 a.m. The program is free, but space is limited. Board members are asked to reserve a spot at least one week in advance.

To register for one of the Legislative Days and for more information on the length of the day’s program, contact Sharon Seyler, NJSBA Legislative Coordinator/Advocacy Programs, at (888) 886-5722, ext. 5282, or contact her via e-mail.
