NJSBA Welcomes New Staff

Several new faces have joined the NJSBA team. The Association has a new Field Service Representative in the Member Services Department, and three new professionals in the Labor Relations department who have come aboard since the start of the school year.

Mary Ann Friedman began as NJSBA’s Field Service Representative in the Member Services department in March. She will serve school boards in Camden, Cumberland and Gloucester counties. Mary Ann has several years experience in a professional environment, interacting with various consumer groups and agencies, and previously serving as president of the Millstone Township Board of Education. She achieved the status of Certificated Board Member and met the requirements to receive the designation of Master Board Member. She can be contacted at (609) 218-2194 or via e-mail.

Robert Greitz began as Senior Consultant/Negotiator in the Labor Relations department in November. Rob previously worked as an attorney for a Toms River law firm where his legal practice was almost exclusively limited to representation of public sector clients in labor and employment matters.  He has represented numerous boards of education, municipalities, and other governmental entities in both contract negotiations and the handling of daily labor relations issues. He can be reached at (888) 886-5722, ext. 5295, or via e-mail.

Michael Bartolomei began as Labor Relations Analyst in September. A graduate of Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations, Mike came from the North Bergen Board of Education, where he had taught elementary school subjects as well as high school history, economics and journalism. He can be contacted at (888) 886-5722, ext. 5291, or by e-mail.

Patrick Duncan, Senior Consultant/Negotiator in the Labor Relations department, arrived from the Mercer County Counsel’s Office. As a labor attorney, he has experience representing management at third-party administrative hearings, participating as a member of the collective bargaining team, drafting employment law and civil rights motions and representing the county on EEOC and state civil rights matters. He can be contacted at (888) 886-5722, ext. 5293, or via e-mail.
