Policy: Establishing district policy is one of a school board’s core responsibilities. NJSBA provides boards access to an entire book offering model policies in all areas that are mandated by statute or code or are necessary for effective school governance. It’s called the Critical Policy Reference Manual, or the ‘CPRM.’ It can be purchased in paper or CD-Rom formats, or it can be accessed online for no additional charge. In fact, more than 3,000 New Jersey school officials have accessed the CPRM online over the past school year to download some of the more than 200 templates of model policies.
