NJSBA At Your Service: Legislative Day

All school board members affect change on the local level, but many understand the importance of shaping education on a statewide level, too. When it comes to change in the State House, one thing is crucial: access. NJSBA’s Legislative Day provides board members with that access by pairing them with state lawmakers in Trenton. The daylong program also helps board members become familiar with the legislative process, and it helps build longstanding, positive relationships between school boards and legislators. The next Legislative Day will be Thursday, Oct. 16 in the State House. Want to elevate your influence to the next level? Contact Sharon Seyler, NJSBA’s legislative coordinator/advocacy programs, at (609) 278-5282 or by e-mail.
