Other Sessions of Note

The Opening General Session, Wednesday, 1-2:30 p.m., features comedian, actress, and CBS Sunday Morning commentator Nancy Giles, who will share some of the stories of the teachers who inspired her, her own volunteer work with children, and the lessons learned from both.

The Critical Issue Session, Wednesday, 2:45-4:15 p.m., with Dr. Thomas Alsbury, will focus on the relationship between boards and student achievement.

The panel at the Legislative Update Session, Wednesday 3-4:30 p.m., will include Assemblyman Joseph Cryan, chairman of the Assembly Education Committee; Assemblyman David Wolfe, and Sen. Jim Whelan.

The general sessions take place in Hall A on the second level, the Critical Issue Session will be held in Room 312, and the Legislative Update Session will be in Room 303 of the Atlantic City Convention Center.
