Congratulations to Certified Boards

NJSBA’s newest Certified Boards and Re-Certified Boards were honored for their accomplishments during the Closing Session of Workshop 2009 in Atlantic City.

To earn Board Certification, a board undergoes specially designed training. Board members must also complete 18 Academy credits, participate in a retreat lasting at least one full day and conduct a board self-evaluation. For a board to retain its certification it must go through additional training, participate in a retreat and complete a board self-evaluation.

The following boards earned Board Certification: Evesham Township, Burlington County; Farmingdale, Monmouth County; and Roselle, Union County. These boards earned the three-year re-certification: Cherry Hill, Camden County; Galloway Township, Atlantic County; Garwood, Union County; Hillside, Union County; Island Heights, Ocean County; Magnolia, Camden County; Ocean Township, Ocean County; Oradell, Bergen County; Plainfield, Union County; and Readington, Hunterdon County.
