Gov. Jon S. Corzine yesterday signed legislation to eliminate the 26 New Jersey school districts that send all of their children to neighboring school systems on a tuition basis.
Court Orders Payroll Company to Shut Down
Ameripay, a payroll company used by municipalities and school districts in New Jersey, was shut down by court order Tuesday after a federal fraud investigation, according to officials involved in the case.
Governor Enacts $29 Billion Budget
Gov. Jon S. Corzine signed into law a $29 billion fiscal 2010 budget bill (A-4100) on Monday.
U.S. Supreme Court: Parents Entitled to Tuition Reimbursement
According to a U.S. Supreme Court decision released June 22, Forest Grove School District v. T.A., the parents of a classified child may seek tuition reimbursement even where the district had not previously provided special education services to the child, so long as the private placement is appropriate.

NJSBA Welcomes New Director of Association Business & Development
Erik Endress has joined NJSBA as director of the association and business development department, effective June 29, Marie S. Bilik, NJSBA executive director, announced.
