The offices of the New Jersey School Boards Association will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of the July 4 holiday.
During the month of July, NJSBA will institute a summertime four-day compressed work week for its staff. The total number of hours worked will remain unchanged,
although employees will work extended hours Monday through Thursday, and
the NJSBA headquarters office will be closed on Fridays. The summer schedule
will be in effect on July 10, 17, 24, and 31. The action will allow staff to set the
building’s air-conditioning at a higher “maintenance” temperature for each three-day weekend, cutting energy usage and costs. While the office will not be open on
Fridays during July, any previously scheduled off-site meetings or programs involving NJSBA staff will take place. The office will return to a normal schedule the first week of August.
