	New Jersey Not Chosen in First Round of Race to the Top Grants New Jersey was not one of the 16 states selected as finalists in the first phase of the Race to the Top competition.

	Court: NJ Can Skip Pension Payments An appeals court ruled last week that the State of New Jersey is not constitutionally required to pay the millions it owes every year into the teachers’ pension fund.
