Schundler to Visit NJSBA Town Hall Meeting in Glassboro

The dramatic cuts in state aid have made it difficult for school boards to create budgets that retain all the programs they want. What’s ahead for public education in New Jersey?

School board members will have the opportunity to hear from and interact with Bret Schundler, New Jersey’s commissioner of education, on those subjects and more at “The State of New Jersey’s Schools: NJSBA’s Town Hall Meeting,” on Saturday, May 22 in Glassboro. Legislative leaders have also been invited to participate in the open discussion of current educational issues.

The program will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Glassboro High School in Glassboro. There will also be an opportunity to view the meeting live via NJSBA’s Web site.

The program is free, but registration is required. For more information, contact NJSBA’s Call Center toll-free at (888) 886-5722, ext. 5260.

A similar town hall meeting was held in the northern region of the state on March 6.
