A teenager’s most dangerous time behind the wheel is the first 18 to 24 months he or she has a driver’s license. But the state Division of Highway Traffic Safety is working to reduce that risk by partnering with some school districts to bring innovative programs to new drivers. The March/April issue of School Leader explores these initiatives.
The magazine also features a special section on school construction, with articles on what districts should consider before starting a building program; the New Jersey Clean Energy Program; and Neptune Township’s Summerfield Elementary School, the state’s first school to earn the gold level Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) award.
School Leader is mailed to members six times a year; the contents are also posted online.
