The lower registration fee for Workshop 2010, coupled with the $2,000 service credit for school boards, means school officials can attend the state’s premiere education leadership conference for no charge.
The Annual Workshop and Exhibition is the best place for school officials to receive up-to-the-minute information and learn critical new skills to help effectively lead their district. National, state and local speakers shed light on innovative ideas to help improve public schools. Numerous opportunities are available for local education officials to network with colleagues.
This year’s conference is Oct. 19 & 20 at the Palace at Somerset Park. NJSBA has posted online the current schedule of Workshop training and special events.
To keep Workshop attendance within reach of local school districts, NJSBA has cut the group registration fee in half, to $550. That fee will cover attendance by 11 board members, administrators and other staff from the same district. And, by applying part of NJSBA’s $2,000 per-district service credit toward Workshop registration, school districts can participate in the 2010 event for free.
Business administrators are encourages to register their district as soon as possible. When completing the registration form, business administrators should check of which days each member will attend; whether members will attend the Member Appreciation Event; and whether the board will apply its service credit. For questions regarding registration, email the NJSBA Call Center at register@njsba.org. For more information about Workshop, visit www.njsba.org/workshop.
Workshop 2010 is sponsored by the New Jersey School Boards Association, the New Jersey Association of School Administrators, and the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials.
