Do you know a board member who has made a significant contribution to public education? If so, consider nominating him or her for NJSBA’s Board Member of the Year Award. Nominations are being accepted through Sept. 24.
Given annually, the Board Member of the Year Award honors an individual board member who has:
- Made significant contributions to education
- Exemplified leadership in education with a strong commitment to the children of New Jersey
- Demonstrated a strong commitment to his/her personal and professional development as a board member
- Shown active involvement in school governance at the local, county and state levels
Nominees must have five years experience as a board of education member and must hold NJSBA’s Certificated Board Member designation. The winner will be recognized at NJSBA’s Delegate Assembly in November.
