NJSBA’s new voter awareness effort is giving school districts plenty of resources to get their citizens out to vote for the Annual School Election on Wednesday, April 27.
The hub of the campaign is a special website, www.voteapril27.com, which contains information on the campaign’s mission, voter registration materials, and special messages for voters, parents, senior citizens and college students. In addition to the website, NJSBA has launched Facebook and Twitter pages to engage and interact with citizens statewide.
Select the “Take Action” link at the top of the web page to give a host of resources, such as:
-
Become a fan on Facebook, follow the effort on Twitter, or join the effort’s e-mail list.
-
Links to find out if you’re registered to vote and learn about mail-in voting procedures
-
Download a Vote poster – NJSBA has four from which to choose – and post them throughout the community
-
Parent organizations, community groups and school districts can join NJSBA’s statewide movement
-
Citizens can share their story why it is important to vote on April 27, and they can send photos to NJSBA of events happening in the local schools
Citizens are encouraged to send parents and other neighbors links to the Vote April 27 website, the Facebook page and the Twitter account. These platforms will enable NJSBA to provide information to an expanded group of citizens and to send them alerts that remind them to vote on April 27. |
