A new service credit for $800 was issued to boards on July 1 and may be used toward NJSBA fee-based training and services. About half of New Jersey school districts still have some credit remaining, available for use through June 30, 2012. Unused credit will not be rolled into the next fiscal year.
The $800 service credit, part of NJSBA’s 2011-2012 budget, reflects the desire of the Association’s Board of Directors to reduce surplus by offsetting the costs of fee-based training and services to school boards.
The credit, provided to boards of education of regular public school districts, may be applied to any fee-based training program or service, including:
- Customized policy writing services
- Superintendent search services
- Strategic planning
- Non-mandatory Board Member Academy training
- Salary guide services
- Online subscription services, such as the Negotiations Advisor, the PERC Index, and Index to School Law Decisions
- Online policy services
- Association publications
School Business Administrators seeking more information on credit remaining for their districts should email Patty Barrios, bookkeeper/accounts receivable, at pbarrios@njsba.org. |
