In the latest issue of School Leader magazine, Robert Greitz of NJSBA’s Labor Relations Department discusses the downside of a recent trend that school board negotiators have seen: proposals by teachers’ unions to delay implementation of a settlement. While the practice may appear to save money for the board, it can be deceptively expensive in the long run.
