The National Hispanic Caucus of School Board Members is sponsoring a scholarship program for 2012 public high school graduates. Applicants for the program must meet the following criteria:
- Students must be of Hispanic origin;
- Students must be eligible to graduate from a public high school in 2012;
- Students must provide proof of acceptance to an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning with the intention to complete a four-year degree;
- Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a four-point scale.
Awards will be based on the quality and content of the application, with additional points provided to those pursuing a degree in education. The application deadline is Friday, Feb. 10.
School officials are encouraged to share the scholarship information with their district’s schools. To apply or to receive full rules and other details, download the letter/application.
