| If state aid to education is frozen for two consecutive years, or drastically reduced from the level required by state statute, New Jerseys school children and property taxpayers will suffer the consequences. | NJSBA Dues Committee Created |
| NJSBAs president, Glenn B. Ewan, has appointed an ad hoc Dues Reassessment Committee, whose charge is to: Review the current NJSBA dues structure and make recommendations deemed necessary to equitably distribute dues among boards of education, making sure to maintain the ability of the Association to provide current and future services. January 23 Legislative Action
Radon Tests The Assembly passed A-1375 (Corodemus), which requires the posting of the results of radon testing in a public school. The bill now goes to the Senate Education Committee for consideration. (NJSBA supported.) Get the full story.

| Resolutions Cutoff |
| All resolutions submitted for the May 17 Delegate Assembly meeting must be received at NJSBAs Trenton office by 5 p.m. on March 3. The second notice regarding the cutoff date was e-mailed and faxed to school business administrators and county association presidents on January 23. Also included in the mailing were the rules for appearing before the Resolutions Subcommittee, which will meet on March 29 to consider the resolutions submitted for the May Delegate Assembly agenda.
