NJSBA Mounts Campaign to Repeal Cap Law

The New Jersey School Boards Association has developed the first phase of an action plan to address Senate Bill 1701, the new budget cap law. | New DYFS Hotline |
|
As an initial step in reforming the child welfare system in New Jersey, the Division of Youth and Family Services has established a call screening center and a new hotline (1-877-NJ ABUSE) for reporting child abuse and neglect.
The call center will operate 24 hours a day, every day of the year, replacing local screeners at more than 30 DYFS district offices. Nearly 40 screeners will staff the center on weekdays, assessing child abuse and neglect allegations from across the state.
